Ministry
Daughters of the King

Our local chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King, made up of women who pledge themselves to a program of prayer, service, and evangelism.

The Daughters of the King is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, Churches in communion with it, or Churches in the historic Episcopate but not in communion with it.  Every woman who becomes a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King shall take the vow to observe the two Rules of the Order, the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service

The Motto of the Order
For His Sake…
I am but one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
What I can do, I ought to do.
What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?

St. Clare’s Chapter was founded in November 8, 2009.   Our purpose is to serve and assist the clergy as deemed necessary for the spiritual up-building of the parish, regularly take part in the worship, study and work of the Church,  and pray for our clergy/parish/family/friends and all in need and.

St. Clare’s Daughters observe the two rules as follows:

Rule of Prayer – Gather the prayer request from our church members for Family/Friends to pray daily for their needs and the spiritual growth of the parish.

Rule of Service – To regularly take part in the worship, study and work of the Church and render at all times aid to the clergy.

St. Clare’s Daughters meet monthly to pray together and plan our service.  To date the annual functions we sponsor are:  Holiday Gift Drive and Women’s Day of Service/Prayer/ Study.  We are continuing to build on our service.

If interested in becoming a Daughter or would like to know more please contact the St. Clare’s Church Office.
