Our Sunday school program includes kindergarten to grade 5. The program begins with chapel and the liturgy of the word. After the Sunday school lesson, students join the rest of the congregation for communion. We welcome you and invite you to join us in this household of God! Our Sunday school program consists of Children’s Chapel School classes for 3 year olds through 5th grade which take place during the 10:15 service. Throughout the year our children are involved in activities that reap benefits beyond our parish through Heifer Project International, The Episcopal Relief and Development Nets for Life project. Worshipping as a family is one of our strongest vehicles for Christian formation. All children are welcome in our services and especially at the altar where we encourage you to include your children. They can receive communion or cross their arms to receive a blessing. We respect your decision as to when they initially receive communion. Eucharistic instruction is offered. For those who want their children to have a deeper understanding of the Eucharist, we offer a communion class for children, which is held each winter. Our Church School is the vehicle through which children learn about the Bible and the life of Jesus as well as how to give and receive the Blessings of being in community. The children’s special abilities to transmit God’s love and grace are nurtured and supported making our environment fertile ground for the growth of their gifts as they participate in the life of this parish. We invite you to explore our many Christian formation programs whether you are new to a life of faith or a seasoned disciple. Our community is a Spirited one; filled with vitality and abundant offerings to support your faith practices and deepen your knowledge, joy and relationship with God. Children are gifts beyond compare in their expressions of delight, wonder and surprise! Their fresh perspectives challenge us; keeping us vital and invigorated! We look forward to you and your children becoming part of this community of faith. |
