Our Services
The people of Saint Clare’s worship together every Sunday at 10 a.m., for about an hour. The service is live-streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo. Music is a mix of traditional and contemporary hymns, anthems, and instrumental pieces under the direction of Nic Ford. Children of all ages are welcome to be with their parents during worship, and we have a “prayground” — a kid-sized table and chairs with quiet toys at the back of the church.
The format of our worship service follows a tradition going back almost two thousand years. We begin with the Liturgy of the Word, which includes readings from the Bible. A 15-20 minute sermon explores the themes of the readings and what they mean for us today. The Liturgy of the Eucharist follows, during which the bread and wine are blessed, then shared. All are welcome to participate, whether you take communion or simply want a blessing. If you want a blessing, but not the bread and wine, simply cross your arms on your chest as a signal to those distributing communion. Gluten-free wafers are available — just ask!

The service ends with a prayer of thanksgiving, a blessing, and a final hymn. Then we are encouraged to ’go out into the world to love and serve the Lord.’ But before you do, join us for coffee, snacks, and fellowship at the back of the church!
